OUR REGENERATIVE FARM IMMERSION PROGRAM WILL CHANGE YOUR WORLD
Get ready to establish a strong connection with nature, explore an alternative method of development operating as a closed-loop system, and discover a sustainability model you can apply in your daily life. Sustainable Living Immersion is an introduction to the concepts of sustainable living in various aspects of life including our relationships to food, energy, waste management, responsible production and overall consumption.
A CLEANER WORLD REQUIRES DIRTY HANDS
Seedlings & Planting
Grow your knowledge by working with our agricultural engineer to prepare new garden beds and prepare them for planting.
Chemical-Free Farming
Depending on the daily needs of our organic gardens, you’ll learn to properly transplant seedlings, weed, water, harvest and more.
Animal Care & Wellness
You’ll work closely with our knowledgeable staff members to care for our delightful farm animals, including cows, pigs and chickens.
We believe that through service learning, students develop better understanding of and a stronger connection with our world. So be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get some dirt under your nails. Each of the following service learning components involves working one-on-one with a skilled staff member for three hours each day in various areas of the ranch, applying the practices and methods that make Rancho Margot sustainable and self-sufficient.
Permaculture Practice
You’ll learn all about living roofs, natural fences, and other highly beneficial permaculture practices implemented on the ranch.
Holistic Wellness
Put your health front and center with a week of finding nutritional balance and sharing in daily yoga practice.
Community Service Program
We´ve helped others by teaching English classes at the school or by participating in other community-building activities.

SAY HOLA TO OUR SPANISH IMMERSION PROGRAM
There’s nothing like learning Spanish in the heart of a Spanish-speaking country. Come to Rancho Margot in Costa Rica, immerse yourself in the Spanish language, practice yoga daily, and experience sustainable living in a relaxed, living classroom atmosphere. Our daily small-group, two-hour classes are based on the Communicative Approach with an emphasis on speaking proficiency. Our educators are friendly, highly competent and, of course, certified to teach Spanish as a second language. Ask about our available levels.
