Weddings

Weddings and events are a major success at Rancho Margot. Exchange vows on our Lake, on a floating platform decorated with tropical flowers before a majestic backdrop of Primary forest mountainside, while your friends and family enjoy your ceremony sitting beneath our modern, open-air pavilion on the water’s edge.

If a volcano view from a mountain-top is more your style, you will find your inspiration at The Mirador.  The views of Lake Arenal and the Arenal Volcano from this vista are truly spectacular and, as with any Ranch setting, you will find the natural ambiance infused with positive energy flowing from our simple, classic space design set in this spectacular, awe-inspiring natural space.

Our professional chefs and staff offer full catering service with a menu primarily featuring farm-fresh products from Rancho Margot. Sound equipment, custom seating and table arrangements are available. We make our own furniture here at the Ranch and are happy to entertain creative requests! Corporate Retreats

Shifting out of our daily routine and familiar surroundings can allow space and perspective for creative thought and innovation. Companies interested in inspiring themselves, their management team, their investors or key clients will find many retreat options. At Rancho Margot, you’ll enjoy fresh air, wholesome and delicious foods, numerous options for physical activity, and the calming effects of being immersed in nature. You can also stir your creative juices and team-building by participating in any variety of activities from milking cows to making cheeses or soap.

Rancho Margot’s library has a long table that seats 40 for formal gatherings and also offers an ideal place for study and interactive education.  The 400-acre property offers a number of intimate indoor and outdoor venues which we we are happy to customize to accommodate your needs.  Rancho Margot offers both open-air and indoor classrooms of varying sizes with white boards, and audio-visual equipment.

For conscientious companies interested in hosting a carbon-neutral event, Rancho Margot is a truly unique venue. The Ranch has achieved carbon neutral certification under the most rigorous international standards. In fact, we are Carbon Negative as we sequester more carbon than is created through our operations.  As a result, we have certified Rancho Margot carbon offsets available to help offset the footprint of your event. Educational Programs

Rancho Margot has hosted a variety of seminars, retreats and courses for students of all ages from around the world.  Located within a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Biosphere Reserve, Rancho Margot is the ideal outdoor classroom for professors and students interested in permaculture design and operation, sustainable eco-tourism and rural community development, infrastructure design, local and global environment study, yoga, mindfulness practice and tropical medicinal plants, among many other topics.
